Hickory Point Bank Wins Corporate Food Fight Challenge for Second Year in a Row

Central Illinois Foodbank held its Corporate Food Fight Challenge awards breakfast on Thursday, October 26th. The breakfast recognized the 13 businesses who participated in this year's challenge, which included: Bank of Springfield, Hickory Point Bank, BUNN, Horace Mann, Staff Carpet, Memorial, SIU Center for Family Medicine, PFA Accounting, United Community Bank, ACE Hardware, Allscripts, TROXELL and Kerber, Eck, & Braekel.

The 13 businesses raised $19,381, while collecting 10,119 pounds of food, and logged over 200 volunteer hours. For second year in a row Hickory Point Bank won the food fight with 2,690.68 points per employee. They also won the chip-in award, which goes to the business with the most volunteer hours with 104.5 hours. Other award winners included, BUNN who won the nourishment award by donating 3,350 pounds of food and the gravy award went to Horace Mann for collecting the most money with $8,631.
